Attach the Brick or Stone into the Fireplace Wall Slice a 1-inch strip of cardboard and band the perimeter of your fireplace insert with it to guard the insert. Make a dry layout of your stone veneer on the floor close to the fireplace wall. Reduce just as much of the stone veneer as possible beforehand. Utilize a moist tile saw to chop the veneer.
